Our Story

 

Our gallery was born from a profound passion and deep admiration for Old Master paintings. We consider ourselves as mere temporary guardians of these works, doing our utmost best to ensure that they are preserved as well as possible to delight many more future generations. 

 

We spend many hours every day searching for paintings all around the globe; in private collections, dealerships and auction houses. Works which will hopefully bring a smile to your face and can spark interesting thoughts and conversations. Once we are able to acquire a potentially interesting piece, it will first be inspected by our restorers. If necessary, the painting will undergo a cleaning and restoration treatment with the aim of preserving the work for the future and hopefully bringing back its original splendour. After this step, if required, we will have a fitting frame made by our framer and continue our art historical research. Once all these steps have been completed, the work will be offered at the gallery, ready for the future owner to hang it on their wall and enjoy.

 

We are both honoured and humbled that three of the paintings which we have handled, have been sold to museums by the gallery. We are also a member of the Belgian Royal Chamber of Antique Dealers (Rocad). 

 

We prefer working discreetly and only share a small percentage of our paintings online, you are most welcome to reach out if you are looking for something specific or to see the works at our gallery by appointment.
